Life Membership Award at AFDA for Bernardine Brierty

We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bernardine Brierty, who recently received Life Membership of the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) Convention in Canberra. Bernardine, and fellow Lifetime Membership recipient Allan Piddington, were celebrated by industry peers, including Bowra & O’Dea staff.

As a leader in the funeral industry, Bernardine’s exceptional achievements and contributions have significantly impacted the lives of many families across Australia. Her unwavering commitment and dedication to the AFDA have helped elevate funeral standards across the industry. Her contribution at both State and National levels and on numerous committees has been extraordinary. Bernardine has been an outstanding representative for Western Australia – measured and considerate when the matter required it but also a fierce and strong voice when it was needed.

Life Membership is the highest honour to be awarded and well-deserved recognition of Bernardine’s immense contributions to the AFDA and the funeral industry. It is a testament to the respect and admiration that she has earned from her colleagues and peers around the country.
