Vanessa Rauland spent most of her childhood taking camping trips and being outdoors with her family, she believes that’s where her love for the environment stemmed from. Now the Founder and CEO of ClimateClever, she has revolutionising the way families and schools can track their carbon footprint which results in lower utility bills. The idea for this program came about when she completed a PhD project under the supervision of Peter Newman, to make a school carbon neutral in 2012. After the project was a big success she trailed 15 more schools in WA with the program. ClimateClever is now accessible to everyone via its website, however a mobile app is on its way to make things even easier! ClimateClever is a great tool to get the whole family involved and accountable for our utility usage and carbon footprint.
