Former WA Police Commissioner of 13 years, and 43 years as a career police officer, Karl O’Callaghan oversaw significant reform and cultural change within the Western Australia Police Service and was intrinsic in bringing the Force into the 21st century with Frontline initiatives.   Well known and respected for his practical and common sense approach, O’Callghan was one of the only Police Commissioners in Australia to regularly work on the street with front line officers.
