What is it That Engineers Do?
James Trevelyan always had a curious mind for how things worked. Over his stand out career, James is best known for his pioneering of research on sheep shearing robots, and landmine clearance methods. After spending a great part of his life working as an engineer and university professor he questioned, what is it that engineers do? This research helps to explain why services like safe drinking water in underdeveloped countries usually cost much more than in countries such as Australia. James released a book called ‘The Making of an Expert Engineer’ where a lot of his theories to eliminate poverty are explained. After retiring from academia James has certainly been busy becoming a start-up entrepreneur for an air conditioner solution called Close Comfort.
