Dr Bruce Robinson’s Inspiring Story
Making a difference.
Dr Bruce Robinson, a man with many titles to his name. A researcher, medical practitioner, trainer, volunteer and most well-known for the development of the Fathering Project which is being rolled out in every primary school around Australia.
From a young age, Bruce had a good relationship with his parents and was never pushed into medicine, but rather realised it was something he could do to make a difference in the lives of others. Along with volunteering in Indonesia after the tsunami in 2004, he has always found great comfort in being able to help others through his line of work, this led to his research and development that became the Father Project. It all started when he wrote a book about the balance of being a busy dad and also having time for your kids. There are some key elements that all father figures can take away from this program, with plenty of insight into ways you can be a great father when you have limited time on your hands.
During the pandemic of COVID19, Dr Robinson is spending more time in the background scenes of patient care, however remains hopeful that this too will pass.
