Retired Australian cricketer Avril Fahey is known for her remarkable achievements paving the way for future female players. Fahey Captained the Western Fury for five seasons, was the first woman to play 150 matches for Western Australia, and showcased exceptional all-around abilities with a bat and ball.
Fahey is the first woman to serve in the position of Chair of the Western Australia Cricket Association Board, is a non-executive director of the Diabetes WA Board, and is an Advisory Board Member of the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University.
Fahey’s enduring international career established her as one of Australia’s finest and most revered cricketers.
